I just can't hit the string the same on every stroke. It's sounds awful. Sometimes it hits the string too soft, or even miss it entirely, and other stroke whack the string with a mighty twang. 😂

Personally I find that I pick way quicker when I hold the pick between thumb and middle finger. Then I can be way more relaxed and if I start losing grip the slightest it's easy to adjust with index and ring finger. It's probably a big no no to pick this way but it works for me.

I don’t know mixed with suicide solution then over the mountain , then I’m pretty sure it’s a lick from a live show with riot may have been slick black Cadillac or you could say the start of paranoids solo , then believer descending run over the mountain again and MR Crowley . Amazing blended so smoothly . This inspired to play the guitar back when I didn’t play yet .

I am British. Putting myself down is the normal way LOL.

It's why I make custom gauge packs for myself. I do a half gauge higher in the treble strings so I can have most of my bends but with the tension to handle my heavy strumming.

This is why I don't advise economy picking for beginner-intermediate players. It introduces too many variables that only turn into inconsistencies in the hands of someone without the ability to account for all of them. Most guitarists I hear would benefit from the simplicity and clarity that comes with pure alternate picking.

Best way to hold the pick IMO is to not use the pointed part of the pick, the way they are designed to be used. Instead, try holding the pointed part straight out of your thumb (pointed part at the end of your fingernail), and use one of the more rounded edges to make contact with the strings. This just works better IMO, and it’s the only way I do it.

My problem is when crossing to the other string, so let’s say, instead of going from 4th to 3rd i want to go from 4th to 2nd, how can i make it fats, and keep the same tempo

I was self taught, and over the years I developed a strange picking style that I've never seen anyone else use before (though I am sure many do). If you've played drums this might come easier but my biggest tip is to sort of just ignore the existence of your right hand. Just let your brain subconsciously tell it what to do.. If you can do that, you'll start seamlessly switching up techniques and styles based on whatever your playing at that exact moment.

Do you guys also have this problem while using this grip? I sometimes scratches the string with my nail with this form. Should I curl my index more?

I seem to naturally economy pick descending scales as to ascending a mixture of 2 picks a hammer/alternate/economy pick, I try not thinking about it just do it, and when it comes together and sounds ok, use it. This is a good idea for those whom don't know. Good job. 🤘👍
